RECORDS OF THE WEEK - JANUARY 31st

A lot of good house records out at the moment, but this week’s record choice is Berlin’s Ancient Method, and his 3rd installment of droning industrial techno beats that would fit (I hope) immediately into a Surgeon set. It’s good to hear techno of this type that doesn’t rely on pure tempo or clattering noise, but whilst there’s a nice element of abstraction, there’s enough jackhammering beats cloaked by epic atmosphere to satisfy.
