Review - Rondenion - Tokyo Deep!

Rondenion - Tokyo Deep! (Aesthetic Audio)

Super deep house from Japanese producer Hirofumi Goto on Keith Worthy’s new label. The influence of KDJ is undeniable, even right down to the sampled cheering at the start of “The Beautiful Memory”, but lush rhodes sounds percolate throughout, keeping you hooked until the end. On the flip, “Love is a Diamond” is sub-Ayers funk cut up with a nice vocal. There’s nothing remotely new here, but if you’re a fan of the whole Patrice Scott/Rick Wade sound that is popular right now, then this worth a look. His “Precious Time” EP on Terence Parker’s new label is worth checking too.
