Podcast 166 - Toby Frith

This week’s podcast features a mix by me, with a range of new and old from across the spectrum of techno, house and electronic disco. Charlie Bennett of To The Bone introduced me to the opening track, “La Caccia” by Ernesto Senestre, at our recent “Volcano Special” and I’ve been playing it ever since - it’s one of those great house/techno/electro crossovers that’s going to be in my record box (ahem hard drive) for the forseeable future. There’s also time for a great reworking of the Shinobi theme tune by Danny Wolfers amongst others.

Tracklisting

Nice mix as always Toby, won't comment on the photo if only to ask very humbly if FLAC mixes can be put up as an option? No-one else seems to be doing it, maybe you could be first? Lossless is taking off more than ever this year for albums etc...maybe I am being naive about whether dance producers would want their stuff paraded around in lossless, but I can't see how it would affect sales of their work if it is mixed in with other people's tracks? Podcasts are now the only thing I download in mp3 format and i'm getting sick of the quality, admittedly yours are better than RA and some others but that total crispness would be nice...please please.

@ Rigadoon. So you want FLAC of mixes that are usually produced with mp3? That makes sense.
