Here at Bleep43 we’re committed to showcasing DJs and artists who don’t easily fit into a specific genre, ones that don’t conform to a particular style or sound – those willing to cross boundaries, surprise and take risks.
Our guest this month is Christelle Gualdi aka Stellar OM Source, who has been making escapist freeform electronic synth music for some time now, echoing comparisons with Oneohtrix Point Never on her first three albums. More recent live shows have concentrated on the dancefloor and her raw take on electro and techno have evoked comparisons with early rave, Drexciya and raw Chicago house. Expect smears of new age analogue splendour smudged over whip-crack rhythms, especially with the recent “Image over Image” EP.
Alongside her is Plant43, fresh from a well-received release on Frustrated Funk. Emile’s crystalline electro live set has been an integral part of Bleep43 since our first party in 2002. Supporting them are resident DJs Dan Bean and Toby Frith.
