A techno record on Sound Signature! Lots of fuss being made about this track, which initially came out on a white label courtesy of Chicago resident Spekter last year. To be fair though, the grungy hiss and distant cosmic bleeps that permeate throughout are worthy of Theo Parrish’s own hand. Add a few handclaps, marching snares and you have something passing for a great techno record in 2011. There’s enough lo-fi faintly industrial crackle in this to prick the ears of any deep house aficionado let alone a Berghain fanboy - as such it sits nicely in between the two. 

It’ll certainly be overplayed by everyone in the next six months or so and I suspect we’ll be sick of it in a year, but for now, get a copy before it disappears.
