Records of the Week - April 23rd

Jody “Fingers” Finch recorded this in 1986 (apparently), and it’s been resurrected by Johnny Fiasco and Derrick Carter for release on Lets Pet Puppies. It’s dot to dot raw Chicago, but in an age where every modern day house producer is falling over themselves to just get a sliver of that approach into their digital productions, it’s a timely reminder of the fact that time has gone, and perhaps we should let it be.
