RECORDS OF THE WEEK - FEB 21st
This week’s choice is a debut by mysterious Dutch producer Dollkraut, who’s released a lovely slice of jazz-inflected house on Sound Architecture that recalls the narcotic edge of Pepe Bradock at his best. Quite a few nice house records released recently, including Omar-S, Scott Grooves and the Music Institute release, which has some unreleased Derrick May tracks on it, enough to get the Detroit lovers fiending, and elsewhere Dissident continue to chuck out records at a remarkable rate. Check the new Matzo and Pauli release on Cyberdance for some proper slo-mo Italo action.
