Pole - Bleep43 Oct 3rd 2008

On 3rd October, we’re continuing our mission to provide quality electronic music for discerning enthusiasts with the second of three parties for 2008 featuring Pole, Rob Hall, Microthol, Mario and more. Doors open at 10 pm and tickets cost £12/£15 on the door.

Bleep43 October 2008 party featuring Pole (live), Rob Hall, Microthol (live), Jo Johnson (live)

Our first guest from Berlin, Stefan Betke’s Pole project has made an indelible impact on dance music ever since the first of three landmark albums released on his ~scape label in 1996. Whilst a key part of the Berlin techno scene through his mastering work for D&M, Betke’s musical vision has incorporated dub, jazz and hip hop. We’re looking forward to what promises to be a very interesting live set.

Rob Hall

Rob Hall has been a central part of the vanguard of forward thinking British electronic music for over a decade, being a member of the shadowy Gescom collective and supporting Autechre on tour with his DJ sets since 1992. Playing for the first time at Bleep43, expect to hear a range of styles in his set, from hip hop to electro, techno and acid.

Making their London debut, our second European guests are Microthol, who hail from Vienna. Their 2006 Microkosmos album on TRUST displayed a surprisingly varied range of influences from downtempo to acid and italo, and these have been incorporated into what is fast becoming a much-talked about party-orientated live set. Analog fetishists Microthol have told us they will be using a 606, 303, FX and a computer.

A true veteran of the acid house scene and playing for the first time at Bleep43, Mario has been DJing for over 2 decades in London, splicing house and Detroit techno with more downtempo selections.
